Chilton Mayor Joins 1st Chilton For Pancake Day

Recently, we enjoyed a brilliant belated Pancake Day at 1st Chilton, and it was a pleasure to welcome the Mayor of Chilton, Sue Reece, who joined our Cubs and Beavers for the evening. It was a fantastic opportunity for the young people to meet a local community leader and share in the fun.

Everyone got stuck in making and cooking their own pancakes, with plenty of toppings and smiles all round. The equipment we used during the evening was funded by a £500 grant from Chilton Town Council last year. Thanks to this support, we were able to purchase a range of brand new cooking equipment, and it was wonderful to put it to such good use.

The young people had a great time chatting with Sue, showing her what they had been doing, and of course sharing their delicious creations. It was a relaxed and enjoyable evening that brought everyone together, and we’d like to say a big thank you to Sue for taking the time to visit us and support 1st Chilton.
