St George’s Day District Camp
Our Cubs and Scouts had an unforgettable weekend at this year’s St George’s Day District Camp, joining more than 200 young people and volunteers from Scout Groups across the district at Auckland Castle.
Throughout the weekend, our members enjoyed a packed programme of activities, including a woodland boar hunt, an exploration of the castle grounds, welly throwing, sack racing and the opportunity to get up close to some incredible birds of prey.
Saturday evening ended in true Scouting style, with everyone gathering around the campfire for songs, stories and plenty of laughter before enjoying a well-earned pizza for tea.
On Sunday, all of the groups came together on the castle green to renew their Scout Promise, continuing the long-standing St George’s Day tradition.
It was a fantastic weekend filled with adventure, teamwork and new friendships, creating memories that will last for years to come.
