Looking for a way to support local Scouting? Whether you’re a parent, former member, local business, or just want to give back to the community, organising your own fundraiser is a brilliant way to help our group thrive.
We rely on community support to provide equipment, run events, and keep Scouting accessible to all — and your fundraising efforts can make a real difference.
Ways You Can Fundraise for Us
Here are a few simple and popular ideas for raising funds:
- Bake Sales or Coffee Mornings – Host a stall at a local event, school, or place of work.
- Sponsored Activities – From sponsored walks and cycle rides to read-a-thons or silences.
- Community Events – Run a quiz night, car boot sale, raffle, or bingo evening.
- Craft Sales or Markets – Sell homemade items or organise a tabletop sale.
- Workplace Fundraising – Dress-down days, donation boxes, or matched giving through your employer.
No idea is too small — everything helps us give young people more opportunities for fun, learning, and adventure.
Need Help Promoting Your Fundraiser?
We’re happy to support you with:
- Branded digital materials – Logos, flyers, or social graphics to help you promote your event.
- Information about the group – So you can share why your fundraiser matters.
- Permission letters or confirmation – For schools, workplaces, or community venues.
- Help on the day – If your fundraiser is a one off event, we’d be delighted to turn up un uniform and help when needed – some of our young people would even be up for helping out too!
If you’re planning a fundraiser on our behalf, please get in touch so we can support you, and make sure your efforts are recognised
